Education boss quits Bristol

Bristol’s director of education has quit after just 18 months in the post.

John Gaskin will leave Bristol city council in June to take up a new post at Prospects, a private company which provides support and services to local authorities. Beverley Evans, deputy chief executive of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, left today to become head of adult education at Norfolk council.
