End featherweight inspections

I watched the news with shocked disbelief as I heard Christine Gilbert say that Ofsted’s main response to Haringey’s failure on child protection would be to instigate annual, unannounced short inspections. This from a chief inspector whose office only last year judged Haringey’s children’s services “good” after a short inspection. Such featherweight inspections of both child protection services and schools need to be ended immediately.
