The English Association’s 4-11 awards for the best illustrated children’s books of 2005 go to Emily Gravett’s Wolves (Macmillan) for key stage 1 fiction, The Princess and the Pea by Lauren Child (Puffin) for key stage 2 fiction, Ice Bear by Nicola Davies, illustrated by Gary Blythe (Walker) for key stage 1 non-fiction and Amanda Renshaw’s The Art Book for Children (Phaidon Press) for key stage 2 non-fiction.
