English don't share Euro-enthusiasm for lessons, say researchers

ENGLISH youngsters have a far more negative attitude to school than their European counterparts, according to a report to be published next month.

Compared to Danish and French pupils, they enjoy school the least, are most likely t want to leave as soon as they can and feel that lessons get in the way of their lives.

The Bristol University research looked at 1,800 second-year secondary pupils from a cross-section of state schools in each country.
