If you want to see the future of educational ICT, the business sector is often a good place to look. Epson has launched a new digital projector, the EMP-735, which includes a memory card slot (it takes PC cards). This means you can operate the projector without using a computer by simply transferring the card from the PC to the projector. The EMP-735 also has a wireless network card for the IEEE 802.11 (WiFi) system so data can be easily transferred from a PC to the projector without a fiddly connecting cable in sight. Sadly, the projector costs around pound;3,500.
