Images of school life by pupils aged eight to 15 are on show outside the Canon Photography Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, London SW7 until June 14. These prize-winning images from The TESSCRAN National Schools Photography Competition are also displayed on the SCRAN website at www.scran.ac.ukphotocomp (SCRAN is a Millennium Commission-funded history resource base).

Fresh Air 2001, an exhibition of innovative sculptures by around 80 students, will form part of the Quenington Sculpture Show being held at The Old Rectory, Quenington, Gloucestershire, June 16-July 7. The Trust offers bursaries to students for materials. Tel: 01285 750358.

Children will be encouraged to make art in school and at home, see art in galleries and their local environment, make art displays and meet artists and find out about their work on National Children’s Art Day, July 5.
