On Children’s Art Day, July 1, and over the weekend of July 3-4, special events for schoolchildren and their families will be staged in museums, galleries and schools all over the country. One highlight will be a special ceremony at London’s Tate Modern gallery, where the annual Artworks: Young Artists of the Year Awards will be presented. Winning entries will be displayed at Tate Modern and on the Artworks website.

Pele, the legendary Brazilian footballer, has selected the 100 living footballers he considers to be the most outstanding creative players of their generation. Images of the players from the world’s leading photographers are displayed in The Fifa 100 Show at the Royal Academy, Burlington House, London W1 until August 30 and also at other venues worldwide.
