Focus on Food, a Royal Society of Arts initiative sponsored by Waitrose, aims to encourage and support schools in teaching students about food, including its cooking, production and social importance. It will include a National Food Week, the establishment of a series of pilot projects in primary schools to track children's changing attitudes to food, possible "spin-off" benefits of cookery lessons, and a mobile teaching kitchen.
