Linda McKay, principal of Falkirk College, has been appointed as convener of a 16-person advisory council of the Scottish Qualifications Authority, which will act as a communications channel with schools and the community at large. The council includes one teacher, Maureen Laing from Glenwood High in Glenrothes, and one lecturer, Irene Peterson from Shetland College.

There are two secondary heads and a depute head.
