Video footage depicting keyhole surgery and other medical wonders will be included in a school science day for 14 to 18-year-olds at Yeovil Hospital next month.
Consultant surgeon Robin Kennedy will use the film to demonstrate to pupils how surgical procedures and instruments have changed over time as a result of technological advances.
“School Science Day will provide an opportunity to show local young people who are preparing to make their GCSE or A-level choices, that medicine offers them an exciting option,“said Mr Kennedy.
