A 15-year-old boy who posted obscene and untrue comments about a teacher on an internet chatroom has lost his appeal against exclusion. The teenager claimed the slurs were a “childish prank”, but was expelled from Bryn Elian secondary at Old Colwyn. Conwy education authority has warned young people and parents that extreme chatroom messages could be viewed as bullying or libel, and are taken as seriously as physical attacks on staff.
