GIRLS who exercise too much may be putting themselves at risk of weak bones later in life.
Dr Nichola Keay, of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, found that girls aged 11-16 who exercised several hours a day have a similar chanceof developing osteoporosis, the bone-thinning disease, as couch potatoes. Both groups have a higher chance than those who exercise moderately.
