Skills Development Scotland's attempt to focus on what it perceives as most in need - the so-called "amber" group ("Careers 'traffic light' code halts the personal touch", 28 September) - is nothing short of negligence. The vast majority of academic pupils need just as much crucial face-to-face advice and guidance over their career choices.
Like many careers advisers, I will not turn away academic pupils because they have not registered on the My World Doesn't Work website. The new way of working has everything to do with covering up the 20 per cent of cuts to frontline posts disguised as modernising the service.
I hope parents, school staff and pupils across the country complain about this dramatic reduction in support to pupils.
Distraught careers adviser.
