A NOT-for-profit education company has been warned against closing failing courses to avoid losing accreditation for teacher training. The Teacher Training Agency's board has "significant concerns" about quality assurance procedures on the Centre for British Teachers' distance-learning teacher-training courses, "which must be rectified". CfBT closed an ICT course after it was failed by inspectors, who also identified serious weaknesses in English and geography courses.
