A fair-trade feast for your class

Lizzie Egan is a newly qualified teacher at Stansfield primary school in Failsworth, Oldham, and she is so proud of her Year 4 class, who get this week’s bumper box of Dubble bars. Whenever she’s out on induction training the supply teachers report back that her class behaves “exceptionally well”. Recently she took them on a “time-travel” trip to Ordsall Hall in Salford, where they took turns to dress up as Tudors, make brass rubbings, and listen to stories from the past. Staff said they were a pleasure to work with and invited them to return. Some of them “truly believed” they’d gone back in time, says Miss Egan, who is thrilled they’re such excellent ambassadors for their school.

If your class deserves a treat, email friday@tes.co.uk to tell us why, giving the name of your school. Mark your message Dubble offer. For information on fair trade, www.dubble.co.uk.
