Fast-track ‘a waste of money’

ONLY 28 experienced teachers have joined the Government’s scheme for high-flyers this year. Critics of the scheme, which over the last two years has produced 226 fast-trackers at a cost of pound;16.3 million, say it is a waste of money. The Government says 2,045 graduates have applied for fast-track training this September, up on 1,547 last year.
