YOUNG people believe that being fat or spotty is more likely to prevent them getting a job than having a criminal record.

A survey of 600 young people by the skin care company, Neutrogena, found that teenagers think that appearance is more important tan talent or intelligence in getting a good job.

Boys said that a catwalk figure was more important than intelligence in a girlfriend. Many of those questioned said that they would be willing to try cosmetic surgery to improve their looks.
