Fat is down to Barbie

Barbie dolls and iPods are helping to make our children fat, according to research by the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education. Professor Kate Sullivan, from the Wrexham-based college, compared cult toys of the 1970s, including space hoppers, with today's top toys. PE teachers blamed a rise in obesity on parents who gave the unhealthy presents.
