Fears over future of outdoor education

More than 3,000 places in outdoor education centres have been lost because of public spending cuts, research suggests.

Heads’ union the NAHT said three of the 150 centres in the UK had shut, and that more fear for their future. Russell Hobby, the union’s general secretary, said: “Their loss would leave UK education impoverished.”
