Andy Richards says his Year 5 class at Huyton with Roby CE primary, Knowsley, deserve our fair-trade chocolate and football treat for their amazing efforts in helping underprivileged children halfway across the world. Mr Richards spent much of his summer holiday doing voluntary work with children in Sri Lanka. When he showed the photos of his trip to his class, they took it upon themselves to organise a series of events to raise money for the Wasgamuwa school and village.

He says Huyton with Roby is in a deprived part of Liverpool, and many of the children do not have a great deal themselves, but they have still put in time and effort to help others. A box of fair-trade Dubble chocolate bars and a football from Fair Deal Trading are on their way.
