Feast of football

This week's fair-trade chocolate and football giveaway goes to pupils at Aberfoyle primary school in Stirling. In August the school was invited to send one or two five-a-side football teams to a local gala day. Headteacher Carol Omand accepted, but handed over organisation to the boys ( she says no girls showed an interest, but the school is working on that). They did everything themselves, picking two teams with substitutes, organising kit, transport and some adult help for training sessions. On the day, Aberfoyle came third out of 20 teams. Ms Omand wants to reward their determination, independence and sense of fair play. We hope a box of Dubble chocolate bars and a Fair Deal football will do that.

Does your class deserve a fair-trade treat? If so, email uk to tell us why, and they could receive a box of Dubble bars and a Fair Deal football. The chocolate comes from a Ghanaian collective and the football is hand-stitched by adults in Pakistan, helping to give child labour the boot. Mark your message Dubblefootball offer.
