As usual, the rest of the media has decided to bash teachers (“Week in education”, TES, February 6). Plenty of people were unable to get to work as a result of transport chiefs cancelling all London buses and most of the trains, yet it’s teachers who get the blame. How could I go to work when my school was shut? What was I supposed to do - stand outside the school gates and teach in the snow?
