Brian Monteith got his own back at his party’s conference (page six). The SNP, he declared, is a policy-free zone when it comes to education. “What shall we say on primary schools? Look up the EIS policy aper. Secondary schools? Look up the SSTA policy paper. School discipline? Look up the NASUWT policy paper. The SNP isn’t so much a political party as a fifth column for the teachers’ unions.”
