Files to be created on every child in England should contain information on whether their family members have a history of violence or drug abuse, education ministers said this week. Education Secretary Charles Clarke and children’s minister Margaret Hodge said they felt such details should be included in local databases on children, which were proposed in the Children’s Green Paper earlier this month.
