Firm foots part of bill for failure of Southwark privatisation

THE Government and private education firm WS Atkins have agreed to share the bill for the collapse of the company’s pound;100 million contract to run schools services in Southwark this week. The Office of Public Management will conduct a study into possible long-term solutions for the local education authority. On the shortlist to run services in the interim period are Tribal, Cambridge Education Associates and Camden LEA working with the Centre for British Teachers.
