THE 14,000 pupils in Moray will become the first to plug into the Government’s National Grid for Learning through a Pounds 12.5 million deal with ICL, the information technology company. They will all have their own e-mail address three years before the Government’s national target date The agreement, previewed by Helen Liddell, Education Minister, at the recent Tactics and Trends conference in Glasgow, will produce 1,000 terminals for the council’s 49 primaries and nine secondaries.
In time parents will be able to log on from a home computer, giving greater access to their child’s schoolwork.
