The work of Bill Gibb, one of the British fashion industry’s most outstanding and original designers, is being celebrated at Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums until November 15. Gibb was born in New Pitsligo near Fraserburgh in 1943 and named Vogue magazine’s Designer of the Year in 1970. He died in 1988.

Bill Gibb: The Golden Boy of British Fashion features more than 40 of his creations, some lent by customers such as the 1960s supermodel Twiggy, and design sketches. A book and teachers’ pack are available.
