Flooded school counts cost

A Carlisle secondary school suffered at least pound;4 million damage in recent floods. Only eight of 30 classrooms at Newman school were unscathed.

Peter Naylor, deputy head, said initial assessments indicated pound;2 million damage to the building and pound;2 million to its contents.
