The concentration levels of pupils using Future School - the video-based interactive, teaching and learning software system - have increased by up to 200 per cent, its makers claim. The system, based on Australian materials, allows pupils to watch a teacher giving a short lesson and then complete assessment activities on paper and on computer. Six schools have been trialling the software. Margaret Headly, deputy head of St Martin in the Field High School in south London, says that the system is very user-friendly and helps teachers respond better to students’ problem areas.
