Food for thought

Harvest of Hope is a thought-provoking resource for primary schools that locates food in a world where not being hungry is a matter for true gratitude. It focuses on the life of one Zambian boy. His accounts of rain, manure, rats, bugs and crops lead to serious and necessary investigations. Key stage 1 children are invited to think about how food reaches their table; older pupils become Dinner Detectives as they compare their eating expectations with those of Samuel in Mulilo. Harvest of Hope can be ordered free from Kevin Lawrence, Harvest Help, 3-4 Old Bakery Row, Wellington, Telford TF1 1PS. pound;1 to cover postage would be appreciated.
