Schoolgirls will be able to play alongside schoolboys up to the age of 15 from the start of this term. The Scottish Schools’ Football Association’s annual general meeting in June approved the move which was passed at the annual meeting of the Scottish Football Association. This means that mixed teams can, for the first time, play in SSFA secondary competitions. It is a significant breakthrough for the women’s game.
