Up to 20 countries are expected to be represented in Scotland when the Scottish Schools Football Association hosts the annual general meeting of the International Schools Football Association on September 12-14.

On October 3, Scotland’s under-16 schoolboys will face Victory Shield opponents Wales at Merthyr and then Northern Ireland on November 6 at a venue to be confirmed. The climax will come at Hampden Park against England on November 28. It will be the first schools international played at Hampden Park since Scotland faced Hungary in a match promoted by Glasgow City Council five years ago. This match is being played at the national stadium as part of the SSFA’s centenary celebrations.

The under-16 team will also play two matches in Switzerland during October 13-16, one against the host nation and another against Belgium.
