Private schools have called on the Government to stop charging overseas students for visas. More than 200,000 foreign students pay up to pound;250 each per course to have visas processed. The Independent Schools Council and Boarding Schools’ Association said the charges were a “cash cow” for the Government and students were worried about getting visas in time to allow them to return to the UK after Christmas.
