Free day at a health club

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/free-day-health-club
Kick back and relax or get in shape for summer with this week’s great offer, a free day pass for every TES reader and a friend at your nearest Holmes Place health club. And for one lucky reader, there’s the chance to win a six-month membership, worth pound;500.

You can work up a sweat in one of the company’s 47 high-spec gyms, all of them fitted with the latest equipment, cool off in their pools or try an exercise class. From circuits to yoga and Pilates to t’ai chi, there are classes to suit all tastes and abilities - if you’ve got the energy you can try them all during your free day. And if you find yourself wanting more, take advantage of Holmes Place’s great offer to new members: sign up before the end of June this year and they’ll waive the joining fee. All you have to do for your free day is take this copy of Friday magazine along to a Holmes Place club (after you’ve rung them first to book your visit, see conditions below). To find the nearest one to you, visit their website www.holmesplace.com.

The free one-day pass is subject to the following terms and conditions: It is for one person and a friend to attend a Holmes Place health club on the same day and is valid until July 31 this year. You must call the club you want to visit first. Then take along this copy of Friday magazine (only the original is valid; photocopies, damaged or defaced copies will not be accepted), proof of identity and address (in the form of a driver’s licence andor utility bill). You must also complete a medical status form, and agree to abide by club rules. Your day pass is personal to you and cannot be assigned, transferred or otherwise disposed of. Only one pass per person. The pass cannot be used with any other offer and cannot be exchanged in whole or in part for cash or credit. All entrants must live in the UK and be over 18.

To enter the draw to win a six-month membership of Holmes Place just answer the following question: which of these activities burns the most calories - darts, gardening or aerobics? Send your answers on a postcard or email marked Holmes Place, to Friday magazine at the TES address or by email to friday@tes.co.uk. Don’t forget to include your name, address and contact phone number. Entries close June 23.
