The TES is offering FREE tickets for three lucky classes, each with two accompanying teachers, for this year’s Junior Prom at the Royal Albert Hall.

Tony Robinson (above, popular star of Blackadder and children’s television) will present the special concert, under the title Wet! Wet! Wet!, to be given by the BBC Concert Orchestra, on Monday, September 8 at 2.30pm.

The programme, designed for six to 14 year olds, will be on the theme of water and will include music of many kinds and from a variety of periods, such as Handel’s Water Music, extracts from Peter Grimes and HMS Pinafore, sea shanties and the “Blue Danube” waltz.

To secure your tickets, please write a letter addressed to the Editor of The Times Educational Supplement, explaining why you think your class, stating the number of pupils, would benefit from this opportunity.

The main section of your letter should be no more than 300 words long and should arrive at The TES by June 6. Winners will be announced in The TES on June 20. Write to The TES, Admiral House, 66-68 East Smithfield, London E1 9XY. Please mark the envelope “Prom”. The editor’s decision is final.
