Cathy Taylor is the school secretary at Allithwaite C of E primary school in the Lake District Sadly, the headteacher of Allithwaite is on a second period of long-term sick leave and there’s no deputy or acting head. Anne Maud, one of four class teachers, nominated Cathy, saying the staff are indebted to her for keeping the school running, especially during an Ofsted inspectio. “No job is too big or small for her to tackle. She’s a whizz on the computer; she’s just absolutely wonderful.”
