Glasgow’s free fruit for schools drive has found a new market thanks to sex education material approved by the Executive following the Section 2A debacle.

Taking Sex Seriously, a Healthwise publication, has the following ideas for teachers in what it curiously labels extension activities”:

“Demonstrate the use of the male condom. This can be done by using appropriately shaped and sized fruit and vegetables. Courgettes and carrots are probably best. Cucumbers can make some men feel a bit inadequate. Bananas can be fun!”
