Louise Rennison, author of Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging, has won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize for children aged seven to 14 with her book Withering Tights. The winner in the under-sevens category was Louise Yates’s Dog Loves Books. The prize was founded by former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen in 2008 to honour books that simply make children laugh. The authors each receive a cheque each for #163;2,500.
