KEITH GEDDES, president of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, is to act as Labour’s education spokesperson during the Scottish parliamentary elections. Mr Geddes, leader of Edinburgh City Council, is top of Labour’s south of Scotland party list and therefore certain to be in the parliament. Susan Deacon, the candidate for Edinburgh East and Musselburgh, is deputy education spokesperson.
