ESSENTIAL ARTICLES 6. Carel Press pound;45.

The new A and AS-level specifications with their increasingly focused content mean that trawling the press for suitable source material is very demanding.

This photocopiable resource material is invaluable in providing stimulus material for a range of classroom lessons, and the delivery of key skills communications, as well as supporting coursework and other broad aspects of a core curriculum for post-16 students. The folder i clearly set out thematically with a useful author and cross-reference index at the back. The material comes from a wide range of magazines, local and national newspapers and includes some sources from specialist journals at a level appropriate to most AAS students.

This collection of written, graphical and other illustrative material is both accessible and challenging.

Steve Walker is head of A-level studies at Willenhall comprehensive school, Walsall
