Does the term feel endless? Come on, the long holiday is coming up and if you’re looking for adventure, here’s one at 10 per cent off.
Overland specialist Dragoman rates its five-week Okavango, Namibia and the Cape trip, starting from Cape Town on July 28, as easy, so there’s no excuse. The new price of pound;1,039 per person includes camping and (some) hotel accommodation, transport on its customised truck and two guides, but not flights, which Dragoman can also arrange. The kitty of pound;324 for the trip covers food while camping (which a local cook helps prepare) and the cost of some of the experiences on the trip such as three days in a dug-out canoe in the Okavango Delta, entrance to the Cape of Good Hope and Kalahari Gemsbok national parks, the Cape Cross seal colony and the Otjitongwe cheetah reserve.
The group gets the chance to meet Bushmen and Damara people while visiting community projects, before ending up on September 1 at Victoria Falls.
