Skills Development Scotland is to take a leaf out of American President Barack Obama’s book and turn to YouTube to give people a real sense of what the modern workplace is like. Damien Yeates, its chief executive, told an apprenticeship conference on Tuesday that teachers, parents and young people often had outdated impressions of what particular jobs and careers involved, which could prove a major handicap during the recession.
