My children brought home from primary school a promotion pack for a well-known snack - a special "handy wallet" for keeping the packet tops and a letter about their "exciting new scheme".
Young children are pressured into buying (or getting their parents to buy) a relatively expensive snack with little nutritional value. When I first told my children we would not be supporting this scheme, they were disappointed. The glossy little pack made it seem very attractive. It is little short of bribery - children are even told "tell your friends and family ... and encourage them to collect on your child's behalf".
