The Times Educational Supplement is offering maths teachers the chance to bid for financial sponsorship to attend an international conference next summer.
The eighth International Congress on Mathematical Education (ICME-8) will be held in Seville from July 14-21, 1996, and is expected to attract 4,000 delegates.
Interested teachers are invited to explain, in not more than 300 words, why they would benefit from participating in this event. One primary and one secondary teacher will be selected by The TES and the successful delegates will each be awarded Pounds 350. Submissions should be sent to Nigel Thomas at The Royal Society, 6 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1 5AG, to arrive no later than November 10.
