John Stringer turns the Olympics into a marathon learning experience
In September, two million spectators are expected to make their way to Sydney, Australia to watch the 27th Olympiad, in which around 10,000 athletes will compete. A further four billion - about two-thirds o the world’s population - will see the events on television. For many children, this international event will help to stimulate a lifelong interest in sport.
In this project, we look at how the modern Olympic Games have evolved and what those records really mean.
