Education chiefs in Humberside have been ordered by the Education and Employment Secretary to reinstate a local authority appointed governor who was sacked for supporting his school’s bid to opt out. Philip Bond, who was chairman of governors at Waltham Toll Bar School in Grimsby, was removed in March.
