Gromit's cure for Kelly's problems

Attentive readers will be well aware of the connection between the Department for Education and Skills and Aardman Animations. To remind you, the creators of Wallace and Gromit have teamed up with Ruth Kelly's department for the "Great Vegetable Challenge" competition, where primaries are being invited to design growing areas and help pupils learn about nutrition and the environment (details at www.dfes.gov.uk).

But perhaps Aardman and Ms Kelly are missing a trick. Ms Kelly is a former pupil at Westminster school, where one of her contemporaries was Helena Bonham Carter, the voice of "Lady Campanula Tottington" in Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Should Aardman's technical wizards dub the voice of Bonham Carter, great grand-daughter of Herbert Asquith, over Kelly's voice - which some find rather flat and inspid - too? It could make all the difference to her political career.
