Mike Kent was dubious in a recent column that the General Teaching Council offers value for money (“It’s time for a sacrificial lamb, Brian”, February 20). If my experience is anything to go by, they have no difficulty frittering away our subscriptions.
At the beginning of February they sent me a letter saying I had been “randomly selected” to participate in a survey. Then the survey arrived and a side of A4 reiterated what the first letter said. I was incredulous, therefore, to receive an A5 card a couple of days later asking me to send in my response if I hadn’t already done so. Even worse, they warned me that if my response wasn’t received within a few days, they would send me another questionnaire to complete.
Where do I buy shares in their printers?
