The Government is reviewing its guidance on restraining violent pupils. The document, which only came into force last September, allows teachers to use “reasonable force” to stop pupils injuring others, committing a criminal offence or disrupting school discipline. The new proposals are understood to offer additional guidance on training and recording information on incidents.
