Guide to race riot prevention

Schools have been given new guidelines on preventing race riots by fostering good community relations. The Home Office issued Community cohesion standards after an inquiry into the 2001 riots in Bradford, Oldham and Burnley found schools could play a "central role" in easing racial tension.
